Most social style tools are simple enough to deliver after reading the manual. Social Dynamics is not. The five-component style architecture, the three selves framework, the Things in Common layer, and the structured self-discovery process give you significantly more to work with than a four-quadrant model, but they also require facilitation skills that quadrant models do not demand. Knowing that a participant’s assessment results do not match how they see themselves is only useful if you know how to guide that conversation using the three selves framework without undermining the participant’s confidence in the tool or in themselves.
The Social Dynamics Practitioner Foundation Training is a 10-module program that prepares you to deliver the full Social Dynamics self-discovery experience. Led by Scott Campbell, the program covers the theoretical foundation, all four styles in depth, the self-discovery process, report interpretation, Things in Common dynamics, and facilitator best practices for workshops and team sessions.

What You Learn
The Four Styles in Depth How each style (Mover, Mapper, Involver, Integrator) is defined by five integrated components: core drive, desired outcome, decision-making approach, cluster of strengths, and typical behavioral patterns. How to recognize and communicate each style’s value without reducing it to a behavioral label.
The Self-Discovery Process How to lead participants through the full self-discovery arc: reflection, snapshot rankings, assessment interpretation, and style-group validation. How to balance assessment scores with participant insight so participants arrive at their style through guided exploration rather than accepting a score at face value.
The Three Selves Framework How to use the Natural Self, Developed Self, and Situational Self framework when a participant’s assessment results do not match how they describe themselves. How to turn a confusing result into one of the most productive conversations in the workshop.
Things in Common Dynamics How to teach Prescribing and Describing (how styles prompt others to act) and Action Focus and Reflection Focus (where attention is directed in an interaction). How to use these dimensions to explain where natural connection happens between styles and where differences create friction.
Report Interpretation and Application How to walk participants through the Style Navigator Report responsibly. How to introduce the application pages covering communication, teamwork, leadership, conflict resolution, and stress management. How to position the report as a guide participants own, not a label assigned to them.
Facilitation Best Practices How to run Social Dynamics workshops that balance structure with flexibility. Techniques for timing, neutrality, managing stereotypes, fostering inclusive group dynamics, and adapting content for different interaction preferences within the room.
Course Modules
Introduction: Orientation to the Program Introduces the Social Dynamics framework and how it relates to other models like type, temperament, and DISC. Sets expectations for the training and outlines practitioner goals.
Module 1: What Is the Social Dynamics Styles Framework? Defines what a style is, introduces the five style components, and shows how Social Dynamics stands apart from other models. Covers core drives, observable patterns, and common misconceptions.
Modules 2 through 5: The Four Styles (Mover, Mapper, Involver, Integrator) Each module offers an in-depth look at one style, exploring its motivations, decision-making approach, strengths, and behavioral signals. Covers how to recognize and communicate each style’s value and distinct approach.
Module 6: Things in Common Between the Styles Highlights behavioral and motivational overlap across styles, teaching the Prescribing/Describing and Action Focus/Reflection Focus dimensions. Covers using style similarities and differences to build connection and collaboration.
Module 7: The SDS Self-Discovery Process Outlines the full self-discovery arc, including reflection, snapshot rankings, assessment interpretation, and style-group validation. Covers leading structured, participant-led discovery without overrelying on scores.
Module 8: Explaining and Using the Style Navigator Report Teaches responsible, participant-centered use of the report, including ethics, timing, and integration into workshops. Covers reinforcing the assessment as a guide, not a label, and introducing the application pages.
Module 9: Helping People Recognize Their Style Equips facilitators to support uncertain participants using the three selves framework and diagnostic conversations. Covers addressing uncertainty and helping participants move toward confident self-identification.
Module 10: Facilitator Tips Best practices for running successful Social Dynamics workshops. Covers timing, neutrality, managing stereotypes, honoring style diversity, and balancing reflection and engagement for different interaction preferences within the group.
Who Should Take This Course
You facilitate team workshops and need a social style model with more depth than DISC or Social Styles can provide. This training gives you a model with five-component style architecture, a Things in Common layer for cross-style dynamics, and a structured self-discovery process that produces stronger participant ownership of results.
You are a coach or consultant who wants a behavior-focused entry point for personality discovery that goes beyond identification. This training teaches you to deliver a model that explains the intention behind the behavior, not just the behavior itself, which changes what participants can do with the results.
You work in L&D or HR and facilitate team-building, leadership development, or onboarding programs. This training gives you a 10-module foundation for delivering Social Dynamics workshops that balance structure with flexibility and hold up well past the initial session.
You have used quadrant models before and you know the ceiling. Participants identify their style, the language fades, and teams return to the same friction patterns. This training gives you the Things in Common framework and application pages that keep the model alive in how teams communicate, collaborate, and resolve conflict after the workshop ends.
What Changes When You Complete This Training
Without this training, you can describe the four styles. With it, you can deliver the full Social Dynamics self-discovery experience: guiding participants through reflection, self-ranking, assessment interpretation, and style-group validation, then teaching them to use the Things in Common dimensions and application pages in every interaction that follows. You stop being the practitioner who runs a style workshop. You become the one who gives teams a working model they carry into every conversation after you leave the room.
The training includes 10 video modules led by Scott Campbell, M.Div., and a competency assessment. Upon completion, you become an authorized Social Dynamics user and the assessment is activated in your Pro Account.
